Raw edge wood means that the natural curve of the wood is left so that the wood's natural beauty is preserved.  It can be turned into pieces for bookshelves, fireplace mantles, bar tops, kitchen counter tops, expanded interior window ledges, furniture and more.  We have a 24 inch planer that enables us to smooth the slab.  Therefore, you are not just getting a rough cut piece of wood that is sometimes offered.  Also, you can get these wood pieces unfinished or stained and varnished.

*We created larger window sills for our Maine Coon cats to enjoy with live edge pieces.  As you can see, James Bond would not even let us finish the window before taking a nap. :-)  It is always entertaining with these cats!
